Tapawingo Lake Camp is a family lake camp on Lake Owen near Cable in Bayfield County, Wisconsin, built by North Fork Builders and designed by Pearson Design Group, with interiors by Sibyl Colefax and John Fowler, Ltd and a flower garden by Tom Stuart Smith. It is modeled on the classic Adirondack camps of New York and laid out as a campus of round log buildings: a dining hall, a gathering room, separate living quarters, and a restacked hand-hewn log building that serves as the family library. The owners wanted it to feel like a lake camp from the turn of the century through the 1930s, so there is very little built-in cabinetry, and the buildings were designed around the antiques that fill them.
