PARADISE VALLEY Ranch

Spring 2010

This family compound in Montana’s Paradise Valley is part fishing camp, part luxury retreat. Fishing opportunities abound as there are several ponds and streams on site, including three stocked trout ponds. To accommodate the lifestyle, there are mudrooms with plenty of storage for fly rods and accessories. Other features include numerous guest suites, a large kitchen, the main lodge and an 18-seat movie theater, which is the perfect place to spend a rainy night. Reclaimed wood was used for the floors, ceilings and rafters.

About The Project

Working With Water

When establishing a family fishing retreat, proximity to water is usually a good thing. For this property, water was abundant in the form of a swamp, which meant we needed to import fill to dry it out and establish a strong foundation. In other areas, ponds and water ways were constructed to add to the aesthetic and function of the outdoor features that make this ranch unique.
